Some Good Online Animation Books Too

 These are excellent reads.

The nine old men PDFs from Animation Meat

Walt Stanchfield "Drawn to Life" PDFs from Animation Meat

If you like the Walt Stanchfield ones, I suggest getting your hands on a copy of the two "Drawn to Life" texts.   You can get it on Amazon, but check in your library first.

Also, footprint scene

I need help making this "Footprint scene" look more like a footprint. No matter what I do to it, I can't get it to look convincing. Can anyone help me out with lights or something?

What do you guys think of it so far? How can I improve?

Week 5 mile stone

Looming Week Five Milestone:

Animate sheep Close Up scene.

The background being quite simple (see pic) has already been crafted.

The sheep character has been fully rigged, bar one problem with the eyes rotating strangely..

Description: "The sheep does three takes. Left, right, then center. His ears flapping about with his head movements"

The monster, which sneaks up from behind... will have to wait, as Chris has %80 textured Lee's "old man" hands. Given a blinn, or a nice soggy wet look, these old man hands can be turned monstrous.

Work in progess

playblasts of the establishing shot and the two characters sizing each other up Im happy with the size up shot, but the establishing is very rough and wrong. i need to change the speed and make the camera ease in when the movement starts, you'll have to show me how again jack.

music tracks performed by the McMillan brothers was recorded last night these need to be edited and comped together. these will then be used to help animate. Ive just started animating the 1st pass now that most of the shots have been blocked out. So im glad i altered my 5 week milestone to be a bit more grey. Issues at the moment for me include the uv layouts on the vikings are not acceptable, i should look into road kill to see if it can help.
