Animation Production – 80% (approximately 2 minutes)
Students are to complete an animation production, or a combination of live action and animation, for delivery to the appropriate playable delivery format.
Emphasis is placed on
1) Creating a workflow that efficiently takes the production from animatic to final delivery
2) Utilising the appropriate file management processes.
Students may complete a variety of roles (editing, compositing, sound design) across several productions in order to fulfil the criteria for assessment.
The length of the production may be negotiated with teaching staff and is dependent upon variables such as the complexity of animated scenes and the size of the post-production crew.
Two milestones and a final delivery date are negotiated with teaching staff.
Assessment items
- First milestone due: End of Week 5 (10%)
- Second milestone: End of Week 10 (10%)
- Final delivery: End of Week 14 (60%)
The ability to meet each of the three deadlines constitutes a part of the assessment requirement.
