Well here I am at the first milestone of my project. My original plan by week five was to have the music completely done and dusted, and to have blocked out the key poses in my animation. Not at all an unrealistic expectation, and yet i still failed to achieve it %100..
As far as the visual side to these failures, my reasons for this are due to the many issues we all experience with modern technology, in this particular instance, COMPUTERS!!!! ..and in this case it wasn't all of us experiencing these problems, just me... it sucks the big one!...
The good thing though is instead of sitting back with my head down, ass up, feeling sorry for myself, I decided to shift my unused creative energy into different elements of my film which AREN'T effected by the lameness of Maya 2011 to 2008 compatibility troubles.
These elements which I speak of exist within the surprisingly dynamic world of Adobe After Effects CS3.. I've been fiddling quite a bit with this gem of a program, and can whole heartedly say I am extremely happy with the creations I have produced at the other end of it.
(I will be posting some screenshots very soon of my AE work, and Maya work now my computer is finally fixed, and a sound bite of the music)
As for the music component of my major, not much to say really, it's almost done, just need to finish the bridge and chorus vocals and do some minor sound mixing and its done P.S. I am also extremely happy with how my vision, sonically and visually has come to life so far, and i feel the small amount of visuals that i have done complement the music beautifully and vice versa.
